KIEV: Ukraine's white sugar exports are likely to fall 10 percent to around 500,000 tonnes in the 2018/19 September-August season due to poor global market conditions, national sugar producers' union Ukrtsukor said on Tuesday.

The union said exports fell 40 percent in June to 24,800 tonnes, while total export volume decreased 20 percent to 403,000 tonnes in the first 10 months in 2018/19.

It said Ukraine's white sugar production is likely to fall by a third to 1.1-1.2 million tonnes this year due to a smaller sowing area.
