DUBAI/HAMBURG: Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) said on Tuesday it had bought 240,000 tonnes of Romanian and Ukrainian wheat.
Of the total, GASC bought 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat and 180,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat.
The wheat was purchased at $198 a tonne free-on-board (FOB), traders said.
Traders gave the following breakdown of the purchase in dollars per tonne:
*ADM: 120,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $198 a tonne FOB and $15.44 freight equating to $213.44 cost and freight (C&F)
*Glencore: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $198 a tonne FOB and $15.44 freight equating to $213.44 C&F
*Louis Dreyfus: 60,000 tonnes of Ukraine wheat at $198 a tonne FOB and $17.34 freight equating to $215.34 C&F.
