HYDERABAD: The elected representatives of Muttahida Quomi Movement from Hyderabad have deplored the performance of Sindh Government particularly of affiliated departments of provincial local government ministry of their failure in providing relief to rain affected people of city.

In a joint statement here on Wednesday, MNA Salahuddin, MNA Sabir Kaimkhani, MPA Rashid Khilji, MPA Nadeem Siddiqui and MPA Nasir Hussain Qureshi alleged that the provincial government had adopted indiscriminate attitude with the urban localities of the province which proved their silence on the losses which received by the people of Hyderabad as a result of heavy downpour.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah along with his ministers had paid late night visit of Hyderabad only to save them from the annoyance of the residents, they said and added that their visit was only for photo sessions.

The CM was not briefed about the losses  received by the people of urban areas of the district, they said and strongly condemned the performance of Sindh Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani and the affiliated departments of provincial ministry for local government.

They said that HAQ Parast Members of National and Sindh Assembly as well as chairmen and councilors of Union Councils had been engaged round the clock to resolve the issue of accumulated rainwater which inundated low lying areas of the city on self help basis but the provincial government was paying no attention to provide rescue and relief to the residents.

They demanded the federal government to take notice of injustices and take measures for providing relief to the people of urban localities of the province which have been badly affected by the recent torrential rains.
