BOGOTA: Colombia produced 1.31 million 60-kg bags of washed arabica coffee in July, up 25.3% from the same month a year earlier, the national coffee federation said on Monday.

The increase was due to a delayed harvest, the federation said, increasing the amount of coffee picked last month.

Exports last month rose 7.6% to 1.15 million bags, compared with July 2018.

Colombia produced 13.6 million 60-kg bags of washed arabica coffee in 2018, down 4.5% from 2017 production.
