Disney has made a big announcement that they are working on the remake of everyone's favourite childhood film ‘Home Alone’. The movie has been known for almost two decades now.
Disney head Bob Iger announced that the classic franchise ‘Home Alone’ is among those getting the reboot treatment for the company’s streaming platform, Disney+, which is expected to launch this November, Deadline reported. Other old classics that will also be remake include ‘Night at the Museum’, ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ and ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’.
The Christmas classic starring Macaulay Culkin was originally released back in 1990 and has an audience rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film was about a kid who finds himself left behind when his family mistakenly leave for a trip to Paris without him. Iger said the films would be reimagined for a new generation but he did not clarify what forms the reboots would take or when they would go into production.
