Wassan determined to maintain law, order in Karachi

The Minister said that he had ordered to take action across the board against the terrorists to maintain law and order in Karachi. For this purpose, he said, the police officials on leave have been called back to their duties.

He was talking to a delegation of notables who called on him here, said an official statement.

The Home Minister expressed his serious concern over the incidents of target killing. However, he assured that the criminals would be arrested very soon and would be duly punished.

He requested all political parties including Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP) to work together for peace, security and harmony which is very much needed for economic prosperity and development in the country.

He advised that any black day or mourning day should be observed in such a manner that anti- social elements cannot take advantage of the situation.

He said that each killing in the city is not a target killing. Whatever nature of killing it may be, he added, the culprits would not be spared at any cost, the Minister said.
