Talking to participants of Kashmir Solidarity seminar on Thursday, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf flayed India’s brutal move to annex occupied Kashmir and massive atrocities as well as human rights violations.
He said that Kashmiris’ right to self-determination must be granted and urged United Nations, OIC and other international organizations to play their due role to block Indian terrorism in Kashmir. He said that the dispute be settled in accordance with the resolutions adopted by United Nations' Security Council.
He said that currently the terrorism in occupied Kashmir was worse than in Bosnia and Palestine.
He said that war in Bosnia started in 1992 and continued till 1995 and a massive oppression was committed there to suppress the voices of the Muslims.
He said that UAF would actively support Kashmir issue and coordinate with educational institutes across the globe.
He urged the people to effectively use social media so that our voices can be heard across the word.
Renowned scholar Bashir Ahmad Hurl said that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and majority of population are Muslims there.
Dean Social Sciences Dr Mehmood A Randhawa and Dr Masood Sadiq Butt also addressed and condemned Indian step to revoke 370 Article that gave Occupied Kashmir an autonomous status.
Controller of Examinations Dr Tahir Siddique and Deputy Registrar UAF Syed Qamar Bukhari also spoke on the occasion.
