The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will begin conducting interviews for the position of national team head coach and bowling coach on Thursday (today). The interviews will be conducted by a five-member panel formed by the cricketing board. The panel comprises former captain and the longest serving Pakistan team manager and coach Intikhab Alam, former international cricketer and respected commentators Bazid Khan, member Board of Governors Asad Ali Khan, Chief Executive, PCB Wasim Khan and Director International Cricket Zakir Khan. After the interviews, the panel will send its recommendations to PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani. Meanwhile, the interviews for the batting and strength and conditioning coaches will be conducted after the position of the head coach is filled. To maintain confidentiality, the PCB will not release the names of the candidates who will appear in the interview process. Former Pakistan captain Misbah ul Haq, former Australian cricketer Dean Jones and West Indies bowling legend Courtney Walsh are reportedly among the contenders running for the head coach position.
