ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court (AC) Friday extended the physical remand of former finance minister Miftah Ismail and ex-managing director (MD) PSO Sheikh Imran ul Haq for further 14-days in LNG case.
The officials of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) produced two before Accountability Court duty judge Sharukh Arjumand on expiry of their physical remand.
At outset of hearing, National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s prosecutor apprised the court regarding the advancement in investigation process from the accused persons and requested the court for extension of their remand.
Defense counsel opposed the NAB request and prayed court to reject NAB application.
The court, however, extended the physical remand of the accused persons for 14 and ordered to produce them September 12 before it.
