The Sindh High Court (SHC) closed the inquiry on Tuesday against former Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah pertaining to the illegal allotment of 94 acres of land in Malir.
During the hearing today, NAB prosecutor told the bench that the bureau had not found any evidence against the Pakistan Peoples Party leader. The prosecutor further said that the bureau has decided to close off the inquiry against the former CM.
The bench replied that the accountability watchdog should first complete its investigations and then arrest people. The SHC has also ordered for the surety amount Shah paid for bail to be returned to him, local media reported.
