Orlando Bloom took part in game during an interview on BBC’s Radio 1 show where he had to judge callers based on their celebrity impressions. To his surprise, his fiancée Katy Perry impersonate herself on call disguising her identity and Bloom fell for the prank.
Pop sensation does an amazing English accent, putting it to the test against British fiancé. Perry sang a tone deaf version of her 2008 smash ‘I Kissed A Girl’. Bloom looked hesitant as he tried to gently tell the caller her impression was no good as he lives with that voice.
However, the host Nicholas Grimshaw then revealed the identity of Perry. “Hi Katy Perry,” said Grimshaw following Orlando’s critiques, with Perry quickly switching back to her American accent to chastise her fiancé. “Honey, I thought you knew me better. Do you think we should be going down this long road if you can’t even tell my voice?” joked Perry.
A stunned Bloom sat in silence, and then said, “Babe, is that you babe?”. Bloom tried to save the situation by giving Perry a compliment, “That was so amazing,” he said. “You know what was so amazing was that you did the English version of you. It was so clever.”
Beginning their relationship in 2016 and taking a short break before getting back together last year, Bloom proposed to Perry with a $5 million flower diamond engagement ring on Valentines Day.
