Pakistan batting legend Javed Miandad has voiced his disapproval over the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) decision of giving two positions to Misbah-ul-Haq.

Miandad, who has himself served in various positions at the PCB, was of the view that the board’s decision is not correct, saying that Misbah should be given the experience first and then be given the charges.

As per media reports, the former Pakistan captain further slammed the PCB saying that decisions were being taken by people from abroad, and it was time to hold PCB accountable.

Earlier, former Pakistan Test batsman Faisal Iqbal, the nephew of Miandad, criticized the cricketing board decision of offering dual roles of  head coach and chief selector to Misbah-ul-Haq, whereas, Faisal failed to grab any post in the board. “I thought Naya Pakistan would be full of merit?? But nothing has changed here!” tweeted Iqbal.

Using various hashtags, Faisal delivered his message saying that he was neither included in the domestic team nor as a player or mentor nor given a coaching assignment. He said that appointments have been based on favoritism, adding that there are different laws for different people and merit has become a joke in Pakistan.

The PCB has chosen former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq as Pakistan men’s national team head coach in all three formats as well the chief selector on a three-year contract.
