Pakistan’s legendary singer Alamgir Haque broke down in tears when Pakistan Air Force (PAF) paid him tribute at an event organized by them. He has been awarded ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his endless devotion to the institution.
Alamgir has sung many patriotic songs which have inspired millions of Pakistanis to spend their lives serving the beloved nation.
As soon as he stepped on stage after a short clip paying him tribute for his services, the legend began to cry before he could phrase himself correctly. He first thanked everyone for giving him immense love and considering him worthy for such big honour.
“This moment right here make’s all my life’s struggle worth it. I had always dreamed of it and this is a dream come true for me,” he said.
The singer also shared the story behind his famous song ‘Tum He Se Ae Mujahido’ which was dedicated to PAF. “I received a call from the former Air Chief, Hakeem Ullah,” Alamgir recalled at the event. “He told me that he will retire in a year and before going he wanted to leave a souvenir. So he told me to make a milli song. I could not contain my excitement as I knew this will not just be an expression. It wasn’t just a song but a feeling,” he said.
