Singer turned actor Ali Zafar had been accused of harassment by several women after singer Meesha Shafi leveled harassment charges against him. However, recently one of the accusers withdraws her statement against Zafar and has apologised to him.

A woman called Sofi on her Twitter handle had earlier claimed in her tweet that Zafar misbehaved with a girl they had sent to the airport to liaison with him for a fundraiser back in the States. He kept on touching her back throughout the day and moved too close to her.

However, in a recent Twitter post, Sofi has apologised to the Pakistani singer, saying she made a hasty decision to share the false information on social media. She said she made the allegations against the singer based on false information provided to her.

Earlier on interrogation, Sofi deleted her tweet and also her social media account. But, on Monday Sofi reactivated her Twitter account to post an apology for Zafar. She also posted a screenshot of the tweet which she had deleted last year.

She further added that she is also a victim of harassment and she regrets all the inconvenienced caused to Zafar due to her social media post. She also encouraged everyone to first testify before accusing someone of wrongdoing.

Zafar too took the notice of the recent event and accepts Sofi apology. “Dear Sofi. It requires courage to accept your mistake and bravery to apologise publically. You are courageous and brave and that is how you should always be remembered. I wish you nothing but the best of health and happiness in life. God bless,” he wrote on Twitter.
