A documentary about Pakistan's first and only Nobel Laureate in Science, Dr Abdus Salam has been released on Netflix.
The narrative properly begins with the Nobel laureate’s childhood and youth, and the prodigy he had shown signs of before he even exited his teen years. It then takes us through his dazzling scientific career, we get the most intimate look into the inner workings of Dr Salam’s mind and personality.
Directed by New York-based Anand Kamalakar, the movie 'Salam: The First ---- Nobel Laureate' has been released on Netflix on October 1. He has handled a delicate and even important part of Salam’s life with great finesse.
Dr Salam won the Nobel Prize in 1979 and became the first Pakistani and fourth person from the Subcontinent to achieve this distinction.
In 2018, the documentary also won ‘Best Documentary Feature’ at the South Asian Film Festival of Montreal.
