A resolution was submitted on Thursday in Punjab Assembly to remove Sarfaraz Ahmed from captaincy, after the team suffered a 3-0 whitewash in T20I series against Sri Lanka last night. The resolution further stated that the captaincy of national side should be handed to a responsible and skilled player, who is eligible to lead the team. Earlier, Sarfaraz Ahmed admitted that he is responsible for the team failure, after the Men in Green failed to avoid a whitewash against Sri Lanka. “When the team isn't performing then the captain is responsible,” said the captain during the post match conference. Sarfaraz said that the team despite getting a good start his side lost their way in the middle, losing the third match in process. “We need to improve in all facets. If we keep dropping catches like this in the middle overs, we won't be able to beat any team,” he added.
