The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday devised a strategy for participation in Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl's (JUI-F) Azadi March.
PML-N President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif chaired a consultative meeting on Monday which discussed programme for Azadi March.
The PML-N delegation which was comprised of Ahsan Iqbal, Amir Muqam and Marriyum Aurangzeb apprised the participants of the meeting about their meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Ahsan told the participants of PML-N meeting that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has welcomed ex-prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif's suggestions regarding Azadi March however, the JUI-F will review the recommendations during its policy committee. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) General Secretary Ahsan Iqbal said that Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on October 15 (today) to finalise programme for Azadi March.
It may be noted that Nawaz Sharif in his letter had reiterated his support to the JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for anti-government movement called Azadi March. On the other hand, in order to deal with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl's Azadi March, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has sought help of Ch Brothers. Sources said Ch Shujat has better relations with Fazl ur Rehman. Shujat stressed that use of force must be avoided.
