Sialkot-born Ammad Butt showcased his all-round skills on Monday night as he led his side, Balochistan, to a 52-run win over Sindh at in the fourth match of the National T20 Cup at Faisalabad. Balochistan posted an imposing target of 233 runs on the board, thanks to blistering knocks by Awais Zia, Bismillah Khan and Ammad Butt, the trio scored 77, 54 and 31 runs, respectively in quick fashion. Sindh, however, despite playing aggressively were all out for 181 runs in the final over of the match. Ammad was awarded also the man-of-the-match award thanks to his power hitting as the all rounder hit 10 balls 31 runs. “There is a lot of preparation behind it [power hitting], I have tried to practice it the best way possible and Alhumdullilah I have reaped the reward today,” said Butt at the post match presentation. Talking about his bowling efforts, Butt, who was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets off 32 runs, said that they were under pressure as the opposition batsmen played fearlessly. “There was pressure on us, as the batsmen were chasing a huge target they were playing fearlessly, so what we tried to bowl with as much variation,” he said. Balochistan speedster Akif Javed too impressed with the ball picking three wickets for 42 runs.
