After a long debate and wait, Shamoon Abbasi’s film ‘Durj’ has finally been cleared by the Pakistan’s censor board and the new release date for the film will be announced soon.
Shamoon took to Twitter to thank fans, censor board chairman Danyal Gilani and all the people for showing support for his film. “Durj ban had been lifted by the federal censor board and we are thankful to Danyal Gilani sahab for being there to help us in the process,” he wrote.
And here it is!

'Druj' lead actor and producer, Shamoon, was furious about the ban and had been voicing his disappointment through social media. He went on to launch an appeal for a second viewing to the censor board.
The film has finally been cleared after a second viewing by the Central Censor Board. “Some of the really graphic scenes have been removed for obvious reasons, other than that the film is good to go,” a censor board official told The Express Tribune. The film has already been released worldwide.
