Deputy Assistant Secretary Pakistan Affairs of the US Department of State, Bureau of South & Central Asian Affairs Ervin J. Massinga has said that US State Department in association with AMPak Business Development Forum was intending to play a positive role by promoting and supporting numerous welfare, trade and sports activities.
Cricket was gaining a lot of popularity in the United States day by day, particularly amongst those individuals originating from South Asia hence, they will be extending full support and cooperation for organizing numerous cricket events along with other athletic activities, he added while exchanging views with the President of Issa Cricket Club & Multi-Sports Complex (ICCMC) Nawaid Isa and Secretary General ICCMC Syed Naseer Wajahat and other members during his visit to ICCMC.
Ervin Massinga said that within a short span of just two years AMPAK has certainly attained a special position and has impressed many of the inhabitants not just in United States but also in Pakistan by performing exceptionally well, which deserves to be appreciated.
While extending full support and cooperation to AMPak Trade Expo being organized in March 2020 in Houston, he was expressed optimism that AMPak will continue to play a major role in furthering the linkages in numerous sectors as well.
Speaking on the occasion, President ICCMC Nawaid Isa commented that the recent meetings between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Imran Khan have brought both the two countries more close to each other whereas it was really heartening to see that President Donald Trump, who expressed the intentions to enhance trade ties with Pakistan, has gained a lot of popularity in United States and Pakistan as well.
On the occasion, Secretary General ICCMC Syed Naseer Wajahat invited Ervin J. Massinga to visit Pakistan which was accepted by him whereas President ICCMC Naveed Issa and Secretary General ICCMC Nasir Wajahat also presented a bat, ball and a t-shirt to Ervin J. Massinga.
