Federal government fully aware of Karachi issues: governor

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail briefed the media about Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to Karachi. He said that the Prime Minister held separate meetings with the PTI Sindh Assembly members, Grand Democratic Alliance and MQM Pakistan during his visit to Karachi.

Imran Ismail said that Federal Minister for Planning & Development Khusro Bakhtiar, Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Khan Swati, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Zaidi, Member National Assembly Asad Umar and Special Assistant Nadeem Babar were also present during the meetings.

The delegations of the provincial assembly and coalition members apprised the Prime Minister about the development work and issues in their constituencies.

Talking to the media, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that the federal government is fully aware of water shortage, transport, waste management and other issues being faced by the people of Karachi. Unfortunately in the past, the people of Karachi and the city had been ignored. It was the job of the provincial government to resolve the issues of the megalopolis, however, for the welfare of the people, the federal government with all available resources is contributing to the resolution of the issues.
