Addressing the meeting, Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajiran president Malik Meher Elahi said the two-day shutter down will be followed by a movement against the provincial government.
The protest movement will include staging sit-in outside the provincial assembly and protest camps and rallies. He said that they had fed up of the policies of both federal and provincial governments and now they are going to awake them through protest movement.
The charter of demands includes the abolition of the condition to submit CNIC, restoration of the 1.2 million rupees income limit for income tax, announcement of fixed tax scheme for traders, stoppage of actions by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for the registration of mobile phones, restoration of the old property tax system, stoppage of the imposition of penalties by different institutions and the collection of professional tax from professionals and organizations and reduction in trade tax.
