(Karachi) The government accepts the decision of the Islamabad High Court regarding PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif's release on bail in Al-Azizia reference case.

This was said by Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan during a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.

She said Prime Minister Imran Khan had asked them not to do politics with those who are ill and feable.

Awan added, “They all get sick whenever they lost power.”

She maintained the government would not comment on the matter until the medical boards' reports.

The special assistant to PM pointed out the government did not receive any application regarding Nawaz Sharif's treatment abroad and no application was moved in this regard to the court. She said they respected the courts and accepted the courts' verdict.

Islamabad High Court while announcing its reserved decision allowed eight-week bail to Nawaz Sharif and directed him to deposit Rs2 million surety bonds. The court observed that if his health deteriorated further the  Punjab government could be approached.
