During a Diwali party hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, an unfortunate incident happened in which Aishwarya Rai’s manager Archana Sadanand's dress apparently caught fire. Shah Rukh Khan was reportedly the first one to notice this and he immediately came to her rescue.
Archana’s lehenga caught fire at the party, while actor Katrina Kaif also suffered minor injuries as well, eye witnesses claim. Fortunately, SRK was quick on his feet as he jumped to save Archana and Katrina by dousing the fire with his jacket. While trying to help Archana, SRK also sustained minor burns, Indian Express reported.
Archana was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. She is being kept in the ICU so she doesn’t get any infections. She has sustained burn injuries on her legs and arms.
The party saw a large number of Bollywood celebs in attendance.
SRK’s friend Salman Khan also took to his Instagram to share an epic reaction to this incident. He posted a clip of SRK from the film 'Happy New Year' where his shirt catches fire. The video has a voice over of Salman where he says, “Hero woh hota hai jo aag me kudke, bujha ke, bachata hain [Hero is the one who jumps into fire to save someone]”.
