Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film ‘Pati Patni and Woh’ has drawn unwanted controversy for one of its dialogues, as the actor has delivered yet another monologue that didn’t go down well with the fans.
Kartik’s monologues from his previous film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ films were also criticised for their sexism. Soon after the trailer for ‘Pati Patni and Woh’ launched on Monday, one particular dialogue, in which he says that if he tricks his wife into having sex with them, then he he is accused of being a rapist. According to his fan, this dialogue of Kartik’s character Chintu Tyagi's has upset fans for making a joke out of marital rape.
#KartikAaryan ab pakk gaye hum tumhare same roles dekh ke and same dialogue delivery dekh ke! May be that's working for you but as an audience you should try something different.#PatiPatniAurWoh #PatiPatniAurWohTrailer

Whts wrong with #KartikAaryan?
I mean why this kind of dialogues?
I mean i never ever supported desparate feminists who wait for a chance to bash bolly movies but this dialogues are really bad 😑
One should respect his wife n shouldn't cheat if he really loves her👎

Did #PatiPatniAurWohTrailer just include a joke trivializing marital rape, all for cheap publicity?the saddest part is this dialogue will def get whistles and laughs in the theatre! Also, #KartikAaryan clearly has 0 substance except being the poster-boy for entitled misogynists.

#PatiPatniAurWoh is so bad many many ways. It’s not ok to promote or show infidelity in this day n age..even if u use humor in ur dialogues..it’s not ok. #AnanyaPanday looks a kid to #KartikAaryan 🤦♀️. Govinda Raveena looked more matured in the original..but this one is eww.

Sexist, Misogynist, Bad humor and "Cool Comedy" are the new keywords for Bollywood films these days! #KartikAaryan really needs to improve his monologue game #ChintuTyagi #PatiPatniAurWoh

pathetic to say the least. cracking a joke on marital RAPE so casually, wouldn’t be surprised to see people enjoying the scene and having a good laugh at it. Well done. #PatiPatniAurWoh https://t.co/WWuTaPHFbq

In a country where crimes against women only seem to be increasing with every passing day, people surely do not need more regressive films which normalise marital rape, thereby giving the men in India just another reason to justify their actions.
The film also stars Ananya Panday and Bhumi Padnekar in the lead roles. It will hit theatres on December 6.
