This is apropos a Business Recorder editorial "The corridor" carried by the newspaper the other day. All is set to welcome the Sikh pilgrims from across the world, including India, on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev. Not only has Pakistan fully facilitated the arrival of pilgrims, it has also issued a commemorative coin to mark the occasion. It is quite understandable that a vast majority of Sikhs subscribes to Pakistan's standpoint in relation to the Kashmir dispute. The Badals of Shiromani Akali Dal, however, are inimical to Pakistan's interests. The coalition partners of BJP government at Centre, the Badals appear to be making highly unjustified and implausible remarks over government of Pakistan's steps that it has taken to ensure smooth or flawless visits of Sikh pilgrims on this highly significant occasion in the history of Sikhism. Shiromani Akali Dal leadership is requested to refrain from doing politics on this auspicious occasion in the larger interest of Sikhs across the world. In other words, the Badals must not do politics over Kartarpur corridor.
