Nawaz's condition termed critical

With decline in platelets counts of the PML-N supremo to 18,000, doctors of Sharif Medical City have expressed concern over Nawaz Sharif's health condition and suggested his immediate shifting to the London for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Nawaz is under treatment at the ICU set up at his Jati Umra residence for the last four days and doctors of Sharif Medical City are supervising his treatment. The drop in platelets counts of Nawaz Sharif has spread alarm among the doctors who seem hesitant to start injections to raise his platelets counts given the fact that Nawaz already suffered heart attack when treatment for raising platelets counts was underway, the sources said.

The sources claimed that 'genetic test' is necessarily required to determine the cause of decline in Nawaz's platelets counts. However, the facility of this test is not available in Pakistan.

It may be noted that Prof Dr Ayaz Mehmood had recommended Nawaz Sharif's treatment abroad.

Doctors of Sharif Medical City are of the view that Nawaz Sharif should be shifted to London immediately to avoid more complications. The sources claimed that Nawaz may be shifted to London through air ambulance given the current condition of his health.
