On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,256. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.151 billion and the numbers of lots traded 6,048.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.330 billion, followed by WTI Crude Oil PKR 531.821 million, Platinum PKR 289.304 million, Silver PKR 274.317 million, Palladium PKR 207.307 million, NSDQ100 PKR 178.760 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 165.174 million, DJ PKR 111.888 million, SP500 PKR 24.991 million, Natural Gas PKR 16.438 million, Copper PKR 14.434 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 6.877 million. In agriculture commodities 3 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.502 million were traded.
