US wheat futures down

US wheat futures tumbled on Wednesday as concerns eased about the risk of cold weather damaging recently planted crops in the US Plains, traders said.

The losses came after prices rallied on Tuesday on worries about low temperatures.

On the Plains, temperatures have rebounded from Tuesday's frigid levels, according to a daily US Department of Agriculture weather report. Still, some winter wheat fields are struggling to emerge and become established due to cold conditions, the report said.
