Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar on Friday said that every conspiracy for political instability in the country will fail and the Prime Minister Imran Khan and the PTI government will complete their constitutional term till 2023.
"We have not compromised on supremacy of the Constitution and the law in the past and will not do so in future; federal and provincial governments are taking steps for provision of basic facilities including health and education facilities to the people," the Governor said while talking to Punjab CM's Advisor Hanif Pitafi MPA and other delegations here at Governor House on Friday.
The Governor claimed that while reposing confidence in the policies of PTI, the people had given us mandate of governance in the general elections 2018; under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, we are taking steps to put the country on the path of development and prosperity.
He maintained that stock market is now crossing as highest as 37,000 points, while foreign investors were also coming to Pakistan. But some people could digest such developments, and every day, they make new plan to destabilize Pakistan, however, the people of Pakistan are standing with the government and we will complete our constitutional term.
The Governor said that political opponents of the incumbent government should wait till next general elections instead of wasting their own and people's time because only the public vote will decide to bring who into power.
He also strongly condemned Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. It has been over 100 days of curfew in occupied valley but India could not suppress the Kashmiris' resolve for freedom, he said, adding: "Israel and India must realize that guns and bullets could not silence the freedom movement."
The Governor said that Israel and India are killing people at large scale in Philistine and Occupied Kashmir respectively but the United Nations Organization (UNO) and other international institutions concerned are keeping mum over it, and if this situation continued to prevail, the world would urge for peace. Even today, every Pakistani is standing with their Palestine and Kashimri brethren and their freedom movements will succeed.
