No threat to PTI government: Sarwar

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar on Friday said that there is no threat to the PTI government; Insha Allah, it will complete its five years term under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, while those dreaming of in-house change and early elections will get nothing except 'sheer disappointment.'

"We do believe in strengthening of institutions but not in their clash; all the institutions including NAB are working independently," the Governor said while talking to media at a mass-wedding ceremony, today.

Answering a question, he said that the Opposition is doing politics of personal interests instead of national interests, and all the opposition parties are getting united just to save their corruption.

The Governor patronized a mass-wedding ceremony in which 200 couples were wedded. Each couple was given dowry worth Rs 200,000 and the Governor also presented cash 'Salami' to the couples.

Addressing the ceremony, the Governor said that well-off and rich people will not be remembered in the history but those who served the humanity. "We are adhering to the policy of 'one Pakistan, not the two."

The Governor said, "I am very happy that today our 200 daughters and sons have started their marital life. Surely, parents get very happy by performing their obligation of wedding their daughter and we are all praised to Allah Almighty. He lauded Chaudhry Naeemuddin Warriach for contributing towards this sacred deed. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the PTI government has initiated Ehsas Programme under which unemployed youth will also be provided interest-free loans, while Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme has also been launched to provide shelter to homeless people.
