The federal cabinet which is scheduled to meet on Tuesday (today), will discuss the fallout from Nawaz Sharif's departure to London for treatment.
Other political issues including the All Parties Conference (APC) convened by Chief of Jamiat Ullama Islam (F) are expected to come under discussion. Though the summary relating to appointment of Lt. General, Asim Bajwa (retired) as Chairman CPEC Authority was not on the agenda of the Cabinet, it is expected to be tabled.
According to the agenda, the Cabinet will approve terms and conditions of appointment of Aamir Manzoor as Managing Director, Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC).
Other agenda items of the Cabinet meeting are as follows: (i) ratification of the decisions taken by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on November 13, 2019; (ii) appointment of Chairman Pakistan Ordinance Factories Board (POFB); (iii) fiscal relief to rehabilitate the economic life in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and PATA; (iv) establishment of Juvenile courts in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) under Juvenile Justice System Act, 2018; (v) appointment of Chairman of Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL), Islamabad; (vi) nomination of members of the Board of the Authority under Islamabad Healthcare Regulation Act; (vii) submission of Conventions, Recommendations and Protocols adopted by International Labour Conference (ILC) before competent authority; (viii) corporatization of Postal Life Insurance as Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 2017 and registration as life insurance under the Insurance Ordinance, 2000; (ix) difficulty in formulating three years Hajj Policy; (x) appointment of Chairman (equivalent to BS-22) Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR), Islamabad; (xi) appointment of Director General (equivalent to BS-21) Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC), Islamabad; (xii) appointment of Director General (equivalent to BS-21) National Institute of Electronics (NIE), Islamabad; (xiii) appointment of Chairperson (equivalent to BS-22), Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST), Islamabad; and (xvi) appointment of Chairman (equivalent to BS-21) Pakistan Council for Research in Water resources (PCRWR), Islamabad.
