PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that an important meeting of the joint opposition will be held on Tuesday (today).

In a statement issued here on Monday, Marriyum said PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal will chair the meeting while Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Nisar Cheema and Mushahidullah Khan will also represent the party at the meeting.

She said former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will represent Pakistan People's Party while Senator Sikandar Mundhero will also attend the meeting. Shahid Akhtar Ali will participate on behalf of the Mutahidda Majlis-e-Amal.

Marriyum said the meeting will deliberate on the crisis created by the PTI government's intentional delay in appointment of the members of the Election Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner. The leaders will also discuss the government's ignorance, incompetence and dereliction and noncooperation over the crucial constitutional matter, she concluded.-PR
