Vawda refutes rumours of in-house change

Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Wednesday rubbished the rumors of an in-house change, saying the propaganda is only popular within PPP and PML-N circles in a bid to build castles in the air.

Talking to journalists outside the Parliament House, Vawda said that those who plundered the national wealth are behind the bras and they could not come out unless they return the looted wealth.

He said that fragile economy has been put on the right track after hectic efforts by the economic team of the Prime Minister and the day is not far when the country will become economic model for rest of Asia.

About the reports of an in-house change, he said that this is true only to the extent of PPP and PML-N as an in-house change is expected within both the parties.

He said whoever is found involved in embezzlement of national wealth will be taken to task as these are the people who played havoc with the taxpayers' money and built castles abroad where they are seeking refuge now.

Referring to investment rating agency Moody's report which upgraded Pakistan's credit rating outlook to stable, he said that the country is heading in right direction, which has only become possible under PM Khan's captaincy.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Shehbaz Sharif has misled the nation, adding he has been granted bail and not a certification of innocence.

Responding to the press conference of the opposition leader, she said that a case related to Ashyna-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme scandal is pending before the court.

"Shehbaz Sharif is trying to lift the trophy of such a case in which the court is yet to give its verdict," she added.

She said that she is yet to know the reason behind Sharif's voyage to London, adding the opposition in National Assembly must apprise the nation of the whereabouts of its absconding relatives - Ishaq Dar and Ali Imran.
