Muhammad Ali Quaid, a candidate of United Business group (UBG), has been elected unopposed as Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for the year 2020 on federal area seat unofficially.
FPCCI election committee revived a total of four nominations for the slot of president-ship including Dr Nouman Idris Butt and Sohail Altaf.
Annual election of the FPCCI is scheduled to be held on December 27, 2019 for the year 2020.
For senior vice president slot, the election commission received four nominations including Muhammad Hanif Gohar, Liaquat Ali Sultan, Asim Ghani Usman and Saqib Fayaz.
A total of four candidates are in the run for one seat of vice president from Balochistan province including Yaqoob Haji Karim, Niaz Muhammad, Abdul Baqi and Juma Khan.
The election commission received two nominations for one vice president-ship slot of Punjab including Zahid Iqbal and Malik Muhammad Sarfaraz Nizam Awan.
Three candidates are in the run for one seat of vice president-ship from Sindh province including Abdul Khaliq Khan, Ghulam Mustafa Solangi and Abdul Qayoom Qureshi.
A total of three candidates are in the run for one seat of vice president from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Adnan Ali, Abdul Ghaffar Khan and Qaisar Khan.
A total of three candidates are in the run of one vice president-ship seat of women chambers of commerce and industry including Samina Fazil, Roohi Rizwan and Laiba Hussain.
The election commission received two nominations for one vice president seat of chambers of small traders and small industry including Nadeem Shaikh and Muhammad Rafiq.
A total of 11 candidates are in the run of four vice president-ship seats of associations of trade and industry including Malik Sohail Hussain, Engr Rizwan Ashraf, Zubair Baweja, Muhammad Sajid, Muhammad Shariq Vohra, Shabab Ahmed, Aslam Pakhali, Col (R) Tauqir Ul Islam, Shabbir Hassan, Sultan Rehman and Khurram Ijaz.
