Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar has stressed the need of upgrading the local education system in line with the best international academic practices. "Our children should get this opportunity to make them acquainted with the new technology. This is the need of the hour to say good-bye to the decades-long old education system and begin with something constructive and productive."
Wasim expressed these views while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Academus International School in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, on Saturday evening.
Everyone must have the support and access to higher education. Private sector endeavors in this connection though deserve praise, however this should be ensured that more and more children get these modern facilities in our city.
Earlier, the mayor Karachi formally inaugurated the school by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the plaque.
He also saw the facilities provided in the school for students.
The mayor appreciated the efforts of the Academes administration and expressed hope that this would facilitate the locality and uplift overall education standards in our city.
