Ch Aitezaz Ahsan, a senior leader of lawyers' community, has demanded legal action against the lawyers ransacking Punjab Institute of Cardiology.

No one can expect any such attack from the lawyers' community, he added.

He termed the incident as unfortunate, saying that not a single leaf was broken during the lawyers' movement. He said a timely action on previous incidents could prevent the present one.

It was the duty of lawyers to protect the Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan, he said, adding: "I am feeling ashamed today."

He has proposed to settle down the issue amicably between lawyers and young doctors.
