The next anti-polio campaign has been inaugurated at Children Hospital Jhang(CHJ) road which would be continued from December 16 to 20. Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali, Parliamentarians Faizullah Kamoka, Sh Khurram Shehzad, Latif Nazar, Ch. Ali Akhtar, Adil Parvez Gujjar and Mian Khayal Kastro inaugurated the anti-polio campaign by administered the polio vaccine drops to the children. ADCR Fazal-e-Rabbi Cheema, AC City Zoha Shakir, CEO Health Dr Mushtaq Sapra Ali Ahmad Sayan, MS Dr Habib Buttar, DHO Dr Bilal, WHO Representative Dr Fiaz Sarwar, Dr Mudassar Salim, Dr Nadeem, Dr Imran and other officers were present on the occasion.
Expressing his views, Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali said that the national task of anti-polio campaign could only be made successful with the cooperation of the parents and all out source of publicity should be utilized for mobilizing the parents to get their child administered polio drops.
He said that administrative machinery would remain active during the polio campaign for the supervision health department teams performance. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali said that although Faisalabad district was polio free, however, the polio teams would reach to each and every child of under five-year of age for giving the polio vaccine to rule out any chance of polio virus in future.
He informed that comprehensive security plan had also been devised for the protection of polio teams and the officers of district administration would also remain in the field to supervise the arrangements.
The Parliamentarians termed the anti polio campaign an important national task and said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was very much committed to promote health Pakistan. They said that the Pakistan would be made polio free with utmost efforts to save the new generation from disability.
