Pop singer Taylor Swift has had a big year in terms of her music and now she’s been named the ‘Most Influential Person on Twitter’ by social media analysis company Brandwatch.
It's the second year in a row she's earned this distinction. Brandwatch uses its audience analysis tool to give tweeters an influencer score out of 100 based on how much genuine engagement they spark, with Swift scoring 97.
Second on the list was US President Donald Trump, who was followed by Indian Prime Minister Narena Modi, Katy Perry and Elon Musk. Also making the top 10 were Cristiano Ronaldo, Lady Gaga, Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian.
In 2018, she received a score of 98 and was closely followed by Perry, Kardashian and DeGeneres.
Back in April, she was featured in ‘TIME's 100 Most Influential People in the World’ list. And recently, Swift was named ‘Artist of the Decade twice’ by the 2019 American Music Awards (AMA).
