The Sindh High Court (SHC) suspended on Monday Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah's bail in the assets beyond known source of income case.
The PPP leader was granted bail by an accountability court in Sukkur on December 17. Following the decision, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) approached the SHC against the court's decision. During the hearing today, the bench heard arguments from both sides.
The SHC then adjourned the hearing till January 16 and stated that Shah's bail has been suspended.
The accountability watchdog arrested Shah in the assets beyond means case on September 18. According to NAB Shah operates as many as 105 bank accounts in his and other family members' names in Karachi, Sukkur and other cities.
