The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) here on Friday unveiled its environmental policy titled 'Clean, Transparent and Green Punjab' to meet environmental challenges facing Pakistan and Punjab.
The policy was announced during a two-day conference that was organized by the PML-Q, which was chaired by it central leader Moonis Elahi while Punjab Environment Minister Bao Muhammad Rizwan was the chief guest. Around 150 delegates belonging to the PML-Q from all 36 districts of the Punjab attended the conference. On the occasion, the delegates recommend to make the policy a part of the party's manifesto.
While addressing a conference, the Minister appraised the delegates about environmental friendly policies and measures taken by of the provincial government to meet challenges. He said that the PML-Q is the only political party of the country that is clear on climate change and environmental issues and added that it is running an effective movement in this regard for last eight years. "It is quite appreciable that Prime Minister Imran Khan has also made environment his first priority," he added.
