Laying the foundation stone of project of link road in Mian Chunnu, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Saturday said the PTI government has launched a programme 'Naya Pakistan Manzilain Aasan' for strengthening the rural economy of the province.
Under this project, thousands kilometer long roads of rural areas would be constructed as well repaired with a cost of billions of rupees during next year.
The CM said carpeted roads are being constructed in rural areas of the province. He said that Rs110 million will be spent on the construction of 9-km long road from Pull Rappherwali to 9/R. With the completion of this project, better transport facilities would be available to the people of the area, he said.
Moreover, talking to provincial ministers Hussain Jehania Gardezi, Malik Nauman Langrial, PTI office-bearers, party workers, lawyers and notable of the area in Mian Channu, the CM said that changing the destiny of every backward city is his mission.
He disclosed that 102 development projects worth Rs18 billion will be completed in Khanewal. Under the Punjab Municipal Services Programme, development projects of Rs430m will be completed in national and provincial constituencies of the district, he added.
