The Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) has announced on Sunday that it will hold countrywide protest against increasing price-hike and unemployment in the country. The party will also issue white paper on performance of incumbent Pakistan Tehreek I Insaf led government.
The announcement was made by chairman ATP Muhammad Faiq Shah while chairing workers meeting at the party central secretariat here on Sunday. Besides, the ATP leaders, Awais Khan, Mansoor Qaiser, Arsalan Shah, Talha Ahmad Chatta, Ishtiaq Elahi, Waseem Dar, Jamil Ahmad, Khurram, the party workers in a large number were present in the meeting.
Shah said the increasing prices of essentials, like pulses, flour and sugar are sharply erasing the poor. He said the price-hike is at peak in the country, but the rulers have turned into deaf ears and spent most of time for their vested interest.
He said the people are awaiting improvement for last one and half year but government has seen unmoved to control over impeding crisis situation, which is gradually multiplying miseries of poor masses. He alleged the IMF pressure has imposed on poverty-stricken people.
"We will soon issue a white paper on performance of the current PTI led government. We will also stage protest and demonstrations to condemn the government inactiveness towards control over the growing price hike in the country", Shah announced.
ATP chairman said PM Imran Khan is talked about bringing reforms in the county. He asked: Is price hike, crime and unemployment are the part of the government reforms agenda?
From Khyber to Karachi, Shah said bread and butter and basic livelihoods completely out from purchasing power of common man. He said there is acute shortage of basic amenities. "No one will pay attention toward 'mantra' of looter, looter in prevailing circumstances", he added.
