Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan's upcoming trip to Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum will be the most economical as compared to the visits of former PMs.
According to the Press Information Department (PID), the PM's three-day visit along with his delegation is estimated to be at $68,000, local media reported. The visits of former PMs to Davos including Nawaz Sharif costed 762,000 dollars, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi 561,000 dollars and Yousuf Raza Gilani 459,000 dollars respectively to the national exchequer.
A stark difference between the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and previous rulers. PM Khan is saving precious National resources while previous rulers abused them. This is #NayaPakistan @ImranKhanPTI pic.twitter.com/hay1BBh9gW

The saving is part of the PM's ongoing robust drive in which he has also directed to minimize the expenditures upon his upcoming WEF participation.
During his visit to the United States, the PM also managed to slash his expenditures. Where, his visit to US during July 20-25 2019 costed $ 67,180, former president Asif Ali Zardari’s stay on May 4-8 2009 costed the national exchequer a sum of $ 752,688.
