New reforms introduced in MCF: DC

Divisional Commissioner/Administrator Metropolitan Corporation Faisalabad Ishrat Ali has said that new reforms were being introduced in Metropolitan Corporation Faisalabad with a view to provide prompt and quality municipal services to the citizens.

He was chairing a meeting to review the matters relating provision of municipal services to the citizens in a better way. The Divisional Commissioner informed that the administrative and other official matters of MCF were being digitalized for ensuring good governance and transparency. He revealed that complaint centers were being set up in every provincial constituency in the city and the citizens could get their complaints lodged regarding poor condition of cleanliness, repairing of roads, and provision of street lights, rectification of fault in sewerage system and other civic facilities. Adding he said that one window operation system would also be established at MCF to receive and process of the applications of approval of building maps speedily. The Commissioner said that the applicants would be apprised of the departmental process on their applications by using the system of Information Technology. He maintained that comprehensive strategy would be followed for the removal of encroachments without any discrimination.

He informed that the sub office of MCF would work at Clock Tower Chowk to follow of the actions against the encroachments. He said that the Sunday, Friday and other Bazaars would be eliminated gradually which were being hold illegally. The Commissioner stressed upon the concerned departments to follow coordinated strategy for the provision of civic amenities to the citizens smoothly.

Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali visited under completion Govt. General Hospital Haseeb Shaheed Colony. MNA Faizullah Kamoka and officers of different departments were also accompanied with him. The Commissioner informed that 250 bedded this hospital would be completed at a cost of Rs 1.51 billion and departmental efforts were being utilized for speedy completion.

The Commissioner reviewed the different parts of the hospital and said that boundary walls of this hospital should be completed on priority basis. He directed for utilizing all resources judiciously to run the outdoor patient department in effective manner.

MNA Faizullah Kamoka said that efforts were being made to get the remaining funds from the Punjab Govt. to complete this hospital in all respect. He expressed his commitment that this hospital would be made inline with the advanced scientific methodology for its durability.
