Ayesha Omar said she doesn’t want to name anyone as she still doesn’t find the courage to open up about the incident
Actor/singer Ayesha Omar talked in a recent interview about facing harassment in her career. However, said she doesn’t want to name anyone as she still doesn’t find the courage to open up about the incident yet.
While talking to actor Ahsan Khan on his chat show, she said, “I have been through harassment in my career and in my life. I don’t have the courage to talk about it yet, maybe someday I will but I can totally relate to everybody who has come out with it”.
She further said that there is no right time to come out with the harassment story as anyone can find courage in any stage of their lives.
Earlier, while talking about Meesha Shafi’s sexual harassment allegations on Ali Zafar, Ayesha said, “I hope I'm as brave as Meesha one day. The thing is that it's when people like Meesha come forward, that other people draw the strength to tell their stories.”
She added, “Ali is one of the biggest actors in our industry, I've known him since childhood, he's a friend of mine, but that doesn't mean anything. If there is no proof of [what he's been accused of], Ali has a right to deny anything. I would do the same. But that doesn't mean we can doubt the honesty or intentions of the accuser”.
