On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,473. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.618 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,194.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.742 billion, followed by Platinum PKR 800.093 million, Silver PKR 764.639 million, Crude Oil PKR 747.972 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 540.142 million, NSDQ100 PKR 463.507 million, DJ PKR 335.362 million, SP500 PKR 85.549 million, Natural Gas PKR 75.234 million, Palladium PKR 30.494 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 26.816 million and Copper PKR 5.596 million.

In agriculture commodities 2 lots of Wheat valued at PKR 8.538 million and 9 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 4.863 million were traded.
