Industrialists of Faisalabad will fully participate in 2nd Suppliers and Vendors Defense Exhibitions (SAVDEX) to play their active role in order to further activate the defense Industry in addition to bridging the gap between industrial sector and Defense Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), said Rana Sikandar Azam President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI).

He was talking to a delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) that met him to brief about the scheduled SAVDEX to be organize in Lahore International Expo Centre from February 27-29, 2020. Rana Sikandar Azam appreciated this gesture of organizing SAVDEX and told that it is our national obligation to participate in such exhibitions in order to contribute our due role in making national defense impregnable. He told that he will convene a meeting of FCCI Standing Committee on Exhibitions and convince its members to actively participate in SAVDEX. "We will also make efforts to provide sponsor for this mega event", he assured.

Earlier Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim of LCCI briefed about the salient features of this exhibition and told that first 2 days are exclusively reserved for officials of armed forces while 3rd day will open for public so that stalls holders could sellout their products. He told that this event will bridge the gap between the vendors and DEPO in order to make Pakistan self reliant in defense production.

Regarding SAVDEX, he told that last year 67 companies had participated in it and it is very encouraging that all their companies had rebooked their stalls for the upcoming event. He told that special pavilion will be allocated for different chambers at subsidized rates. "The industrialists intending to participate in SAVDEX through chamber could also enjoy 20% subsidy", he told.
