On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,445. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.796 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,177.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.689 billion, followed by Crude Oil PKR 517.848 million, Platinum PKR 412.498 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 359.477 million, NSDQ100 PKR 324.569 million, Silver PKR 172.831 million, DJ PKR 129.550 million, SP500 PKR 66.000 million, Copper PKR 41.008 million, Natural Gas PKR 34.226 million, Palladium PKR 32.289 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 17.142 million.

In agriculture commodities 2 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 8.704 million and 10 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 5.552 million were traded.
