Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has divided Directorate of Internal Audit, Islamabad into two categories i.e. Directorate of Internal Audit-North (Customs), Islamabad and Directorate of Internal Audit-South (Customs), Karachi.

According to a notification of the FBR issued here on Wednesday, in pursuance of FBR's SRO No. 1494(I)/2019 dated 02.12.2019, the name of the office Directorate of Internal Audit, Islamabad will be read as Directorate of Internal Audit-North (Customs), Islamabad from 02.12.2019 for the purpose of posting of all officers/officials from BS 1-20. Also the officers/officials posted in the Directorate of Internal Audit, Islamabad (stationed at Lahore) will be read as Directorate of Internal Audit-North (Customs), Islamabad (stationed at Lahore).

Further new office of the Directorate of Internal Audit-South (Customs), Karachi is created w.e.f. December 2, 2019. The officers/officials posted in the Directorate of Internal Audit, Islamabad (Stationed at Karachi) will be read as officers/officials posted in the Directorate of Internal Audit-South (Customs), Karachi.
